Mission
Ready72 helps Canadians prepare for emergencies with practical, evidence-based guidance. We believe everyone should have a 72-hour kit and a plan before disaster strikes.
Sources & Verification
All content is sourced from Government of Canada agencies, Health Canada, Public Safety Canada, and Canadian Red Cross. Every claim is verified against primary sources before publication.
Editorial Standards
- Metric units only (litres, grams, Celsius)
- Plain language – 6th-8th grade reading level
- Two sources minimum – one Canadian government or Red Cross where available
- Risk-tier appropriate – danger warnings on high-risk topics (CO, utilities, severe bleeding)
- Honest about limits – we say what we don't know and link to official guidance
Not Medical Advice
Ready72 gives planning guidance, not professional, medical, legal or emergency advice. For medical emergencies, call 911. For health questions, consult a healthcare provider.
Follow Official Orders
If local officials order evacuation, shelter-in-place, or boil water, follow their instructions immediately. This site is for situations where you're sheltering in place without power or utilities.
